Best Practice for Initial Backup

When performing an Initial Backup to the cloud we always recommend to do it in sessions. This is especially important during the creation of an initial backup for new users.

Typically, in Time Machine, an initial backup is saved as "In Progress" when a session is not completed or interrupted for some reason. There can be times when the In.Progress file is corrupted and Time Machine will opt to start the session again.

To avoid that experience try to minimize your backup sets so that you can progress them to the full data set you are trying to back up. Obviously it is a much easier process to just seed the initial storage to Dolly Drive
